phpMyWebmin Install Guide


Welcome! This Install Guide will help you configuring phpMyWebmin so you should be able to use it without any problems.


1. Uploading the files and CHMOD
Upload the whole content of the phpMyWebmin-Directory (all those .php files and stuff) to you server through FTP. Then set the CHMOD of the following folders and files to 777:

- the folder you copied the files into (normally "phpMyWebmin")
- _config.php


2. Launch install.php
Open www.myserver.xx/phpMyWebmin/install.php in your browser and follow the steps.
In some cases phpMyWebmin has problems with subdomains. Be sure not to use a subdomain (e.g. phpMyWebmin.myserver.xx) but a top level domain (e.g. www.my-server.xx/phpMyWebmin).


3. Delete install.php
After completing the steps of install.php delete this file with your FTP-program.


4. Have fun with phpMyWebmin

Open www.myserver.xx/phpMyWebmin to use phpMyWebmin.
